Megadyne Information Systems PARISpeak®

PARISpeak® is a software product which allows direct patron access to transit services information via an automated voice response unit (VRU). PARISpeak® allows callers to select specific information needed from a menu-tree of service options. PARISpeak® also can supplement an information agent by speaking the final portion of a message while the agent starts on the next call (as popularized by the telephone company). Or, PARISpeak® can process calls employing a combination of the two methods. All the methods permit a greater number of calls to be processed without increasing the staff. PARISpeak® operates on-line and real time with features which:

  • Eliminate paperwork, paper flow and paper storage
  • Stabilize costs
  • Extend information availability

PARISpeak® and its host VRU utilize both digitized and synthesized voice which provides greater flexibility while reducing the need to continually update recorded messages. For operation in cosmopolitan transit information centers the unit is multi-lingual. Messages can be limited to a select few or expanded to a wide variety. PARISpeak® and its host VRU can operate as a stand-alone unit. However, the greatest benefit is achieved operating in concert with PARIS®, Megadyne Information Systems' automated transit information system.

PARISpeak® is available on PC-compatible platforms running Windows NT and supports analog, T-1 and ISDN telephone interfaces using Dialogic voice cards.
