Megadyne Information Systems Boston

Megadyne's PARIS® software was installed in the first computerized Customer Service Information System (CSIS) developed by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) in 1988.

MBTA is one of the nation's oldest public transportation agencies and its multimodal system includes 4 subway lines, 11 commuter rail lines, 4 boat routes, and 159 bus routes servicing approximately 1,038 square miles. Service is provided to 2.6 million people in the MBTA's 78 districts and in another 52 communities in eastern Massachusetts, with over 1 million rides each day.

At the CSIS, PARIS® is installed on an IBM 43xx mainframe-class computer running MVS and CCIS. The system is accessed by information agents using 3270 terminals.
